Did you know that billions of animals are being used and killed in experiments for the purpose of creating new medicines, cosmetic products, and household products and scientific reaserch because they share structral and functional features with human bodies? Do you think this is acceptable or not? Just because animals cannot talk and answer back does this mean they do not have a say in being killed? What do you think?

a animal lover's point of view (example)
I am Daniel. I work at a zoo. I love animals. They are so fascinating. The way how each kind of animal is so different with another. How they adapt and evolve to the environment. There’s so much that we still don’t know about them and that makes them more special.
The other day I was flicking through an animal magazine and came across an article about tests performed on animals for experiments. It said that over 100 million animals are being used in experiments every year. As an animal lover I was furious. After being used in an experiment most animals are said to be euthanized, but what does that make it any good? They have been tortured. Just because they kill the animals without pain, it doesn’t mean they didn’t suffer during the experiment.
I think it doesn’t make any sense. If they are making drugs for humans, why test it on animals that are totally different from human beings? Even if it worked on mice, it might not work on us, human. So why not just test it on human in the first place? “No, that would be wrong.”, people might say, but I don’t see any difference in doing tests on animals and human. We might be a different species, butt we are all animals, just because we are a little stronger than them doesn’t mean we can use them like some kind of natural resource.
